This annual event, held in Monaco on July 10th at the Yachting Club, honors top luxury products and experiences across various categories including yachting, architecture, style, design, and technological innovation.The judging panel comprised editors and experts from 15 categories such as automotive, yachting, aviation, travel, style, watches, jewelry, food, wine, spirits, art, design, cigars, equipment, and residential building. The engineering process focused on weight distribution, crucial due to the extensive use of glass in the design. The interior is marked by refined details and high-quality materials such as leather, Alcantara, oak, and teak, along with gray marble accents. 67m Superyacht with Asymmetrical Pool Revealed by Davide Benaglia
A new 67-meter superyacht, designed by Italian designer Davide Benaglia, features advanced entertainment equipment and a hybrid propulsion system. Benaglia developed the vessel, named Hype-R, for Feadship’s Young Designer of the Year Award.Hype-R is tailored to the needs of young digital natives. Though Benaglia did not win the competition, his design remains noteworthy. The yacht has a sleek, minimalist exterior inspired by video game controllers and sports cars, with flowing lines and dramatic curves. The yacht has a beam of nearly 11 meters and an interior volume of 1,300 GT, providing ample space for relaxation and entertainment. The layout is meticulously designed for functionality. The sundeck is dedicated to the owner, featuring a suite with a living area and a private study for remote work. The yacht can accommodate up to eight guests in two staterooms and two VIP cabins.The exterior includes various distinct zones. The upper deck is designed for relaxation, with a sunset lounge and romantic arches. The modular beach area aft can serve as a cinema, discotheque, or lounge by the water. The aft deck also features an asymmetrical pool that cascades over two levels, with fold-out platforms for additional space.Hype-R includes state-of-the-art entertainment equipment and a high-tech hybrid propulsion system. First 30m Filippetti 100 Yacht Launched
Filippetti Yachts has launched the inaugural unit of its Filippetti 100 series at Marina dei Cesari in Fano, Italy. Construction of the yacht began in October 2021, following its sale in June of the same year.The 30.4-meter yacht is the largest flybridge model produced by the shipyard, featuring a sporty and muscular exterior designed by Fulvio de Simoni. The design includes distinctive bow cutouts and tapered glazing.The flybridge, the largest exterior area on the yacht, includes sunloungers, an open-air dining area, a full bar, and shading provided by the hardtop. The aft deck offers an alternative al fresco lounging space with sofa seating and coffee tables, leading directly to the beach club. In this area there is a stationary chaise longue on the transom and a large swimming platform with folding panels to increase the space. The garage is designed to accommodate a five-meter tender and a jet ski.The yacht provides accommodation in six cabins, including a master suite with a private office located on the main deck. While imagery of the interior is not yet available, initial renderings suggest a contemporary design using light woods and a cream and grey color scheme.The yacht is powered by two 2000hp MAN engines, enabling a maximum speed of 26 knots.Credits: Filippetti Yachts
MDL Announces Dates for South Coast and Green Tech Boat Show 2025
MDL Marinas has announced the official dates for the 2025 South Coast & Green Tech Boat Show. The event will be held at MDL’s Ocean Village Marina in Southampton from May 9 to 11, 2025.The timing has been selected to take advantage of the warmer spring weather and to avoid conflicts with other boat shows. Tim Mayer, MDL’s Sales and Marketing Director, explained, "After consulting with our exhibitors, we decided on a late spring date. This allows exhibitors to present their boats and products in more favorable conditions."The show will feature leading boating brands and a wide range of marine-related gear and products. The event will also highlight electric boats and innovative green technologies, offering a chance for buyers to compare various models.“We aim for the 2025 show to be our largest and most diverse yet,” Mayer said. “From small inflatable tenders to large explorer yachts, and an increasing variety of electric propulsion models, the show will support greener and more sustainable boating.”Ocean Village Marina in Southampton, known for its modern facilities, excellent transport links, and a variety of dining options, provides an ideal venue for the event.Credits: MDL Marinas
Wallywhy100 to Debut at Cannes Yachting Festival 2024
The Wallywhy100 is set to make its world debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2024, which will take place from September 10-15. This 21.4-meter yacht aims to showcase a blend of functionality and style within the 70-foot segment.Wally continues to demonstrate innovation in yacht design and functionality. The Wallywhy100 is an extension of the next-generation Wallywhy range, building on the features of its predecessors, the Wallywhy200 and Wallywhy150. It offers a seamless combination of comfort and performance.One of the standout features of the Wallywhy100 is its single living level, which includes an iconic glass superstructure, open living areas, and a spacious sea terrace. This design promotes a seamless flow from bow to stern, emphasizing a new way to interact with the sea and surroundings. The aft sea terrace is particularly notable, stretching to 14 square meters and featuring a hydraulic platform for launching tenders and toys up to 3.6 meters in length, as well as a hydraulic passerelle-swim ladder for easy water access. Drop-down wings further extend the terrace, providing unobstructed views.The interior of the Wallywhy100 includes a hybrid saloon and dining area within the angular glass superstructure, and an internal helm with joystick control. The yacht is powered by twin D13 engines, allowing for a cruising speed of 24 knots and a top speed of 27 knots with the optional Volvo Penta IPS1350 engines.Accommodations on the lower deck include a full-beam master cabin with an ensuite featuring electrically switched privacy glass, two guest cabins (a VIP stateroom and a twin cabin), each with ensuites and large hull portholes. The yacht also includes dedicated crew access from both the main and lower decks, a feature uncommon in yachts of this size.The foredeck features a multi-use lounge that can serve as an aperitivo area or for alfresco meals, with convertible seating that can be transformed into sunbeds.
