Grand Soleil 72, the flagship of the Grand Soleil fleet, recently launched in Pesaro, is ready for the last leg of the journey, and will have a world première at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2023.
The Grand Soleil 72 Long Cruise, launched last year alongside its Performance version, is a project curated by Cantiere del Pardo in collaboration with Franco Corazza, the project manager for the entire Grand Soleil range over 60 feet. Assisted by a team of esteemed professionals from the sailing world, including Matteo Polli, Marco Lostuzzi, and the Milanese studio Nauta Design, they have created a bespoke model tailored for owners who value customization and cherish comfortable, safe, and environmentally conscious sailing adventures.
Rooted in tradition and meticulous attention to detail, this project embodies the highest standards of the nautical industry, reflecting the 50 years of history and expertise gained by Cantiere del Pardo.
A notable feature of the new Grand Soleil 72 Long Cruise is its deckhouse, distinguished by a spacious 270° window that has been modified, raised, and widened compared to the Performance version. In the cockpit, the companionway and ladder have been relocated to the side, resulting in a "C" shaped seat and a straight seat, while preserving the two large sundecks at the stern as seen in the Performance version. In the Long Cruise variant, the entire dinette has been elevated, providing occupants with a panoramic view of the surroundings both when seated and standing.
The interior layout, expertly crafted by Nauta Design, harmonizes perfectly with the deck's geometries. Nauta Design optimizes all available spaces, creating a coherent and holistic relationship between them. The dimensions, ergonomics, storage solutions, functions, and quality of all accessories meet superyacht standards. The design and choice of materials contribute to a sophisticated, fresh, elegant, and inviting atmosphere within the interiors.
Similar to the Performance version, the Grand Soleil 72 Long Cruise offers various internal layout options. Both versions feature the owner's cabin forward, but differ in the positioning of the galley, which can be situated forward or aft. Additionally, the guest and crew cabins can be arranged in different configurations, offering flexibility to suit individual preferences.
The main hall has a welcoming L-shaped sofa with a dining table that can comfortably seat up to eight people. Starboard is an elegant U-shaped sofa that extends towards the bow up to the chart area, with a wall-mounted dashboard and storage drawers underneath.
Currently, in addition to the launch of the GS72 LC, Grand Soleil has two Performance version GS72 hulls under construction: the first (hull #2) is undergoing assembly, while hull #3 is in the lamination phase. The Grand Soleil 65 is also scheduled for its world debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2023.
Cantiere del Pardo was founded in 1973 in Italy. Pardo Yachts, the brand of Cantiere del Pardo dedicated to powerboats, was born in 2016. The first model, the Pardo 43, was launched in 2017.
